Dignity at work: enhancing workers’ organizations roles in combating workplace harassment and discrimination in the Western Balkans

Ohrid / MK

This project focuses on addressing workplace harassment and discrimination in the Western Balkans as part of efforts to align labour standards with EU human rights and accession requirements. It aims to raise awareness, strengthen the capacity of social partners, promote best practices, and advocate for stronger legal and institutional protections. These actions support compliance with EU accession criteria while fostering a respectful workplace culture.

The three-day seminar includes discussions and workshops. The first two days focus on interactive exchanges among trade unions, employer associations, public authorities, and relevant ministries. Participants will share best practices, real-life case studies, and challenges related to workplace harassment. Participants’ current knowledge and awareness will be assessed through diagnostic activities, such as discussions and surveys, to identify gaps and areas requiring further attention. The third day features practical workshops on identifying and addressing harassment, conflict resolution, and policy development, with hands-on activities like simulations and group exercises.

Through shared experiences and expert insights, participants will gain tools to implement effective interventions and preventive measures. This initiative promotes a safer and more inclusive work environment, enhancing social cohesion and supporting the Western Balkans' EU integration efforts.
