We are delighted to welcome a new member to our European network: the Catholic Association of Working People from South Tyrol!
The KVW is a social organization with a long tradition, founded in 1948 and firmly rooted in the region ever since. It actively promotes social justice, solidarity, sustainable development, and Christian social values. With a clear mission statement that puts people at the center, the KVW is committed to fair living conditions, equal opportunities, and active participation in society—regardless of origin, age, or social status.
Particularly noteworthy is the close cooperation between over 1,900 volunteers and around 100 full-time employees, who offer an impressive range of social services throughout South Tyrol through 234 local groups and numerous specialist departments. From social counseling and educational opportunities to targeted assistance for seniors, families, women, and young people, the KVW is a reliable partner in all situations. The KVW is a reliable partner in all situations.
The 2024 social balance sheet impressively underscores the impact of this commitment: Under the annual motto “A good life for all,” more than 1,700 activities with around 40,000 participants were implemented last year alone – a clear sign of social cohesion and the practical implementation of Christian values.
As a new voice in the EZA network, the KVW brings not only many years of experience, but also innovative ideas, civic engagement, and a strong foundation of social responsibility. Together, we are committed to better working and living conditions in Europe and to strengthening the dialogue on a fair, solidarity-based, and sustainable world of work.
