The project describes the aim of the European Pillar of Social Rights (EPSR) to promote a strong, fair and inclusive social Europe. The project covers several priorities:
- Analysing the challenges that go beyond the mere implementation of environmental and technology policies to ensure that all steps are in line with the protection of rights and equality for all European citizens.
- Assessing the impact of the informal economy in the EU, which includes many vulnerable and invisible workers in important sectors such as health, care, social work and agriculture. While informal employment can offer opportunities for economic inclusion, there is a risk of a lack of social security and labour rights.
- The importance of inclusive and high-quality training and lifelong learning to combat skills shortages in critical sectors.
- The role of the EPSR within the European Industrial and SME Strategy for future jobs with decent pay and good working conditions.
The project promotes social dialogue by creating a space for exchange and reflection between different actors. It aims to develop a better understanding of the challenges and opportunities of change, as well as to identify common solutions and strategies for promoting social justice and equality.
