The directive on adequate minimum wages was transposed into European law in October 2022, and member states have until November 2024 to implement it nationally. The upcoming seminar will provide an opportunity to assess progress in implementing the directive and its impact on collective bargaining coverage. It will include a discussion of the national plan for mapping workers covered by collective agreements, which aims to ensure decent pay and working conditions and prevent abuse. It will also analyse historical trends in collective bargaining and examine the impact of the directive on collective bargaining coverage. The exchange of good practices should strengthen the social dialogue and promote transnational cooperation to raise awareness of the benefits of collective bargaining. Overall, the project aims to improve the social partners' ability to engage in collective bargaining and to increase the quality of collective agreements.
