Integration and inclusion of young people in the labour market of the European Union

Herzogenrath / DE

In the European Union, 29.4% of young people with disabilities graduate from tertiary education (compared to 43.8% of those without disabilities). Only half of people with disabilities have a job (but three quarters of those without disabilities). The seminar will discuss how to facilitate access to the labour market for young people with disabilities. Workers' organisations can play a key role in this, which is why the question of how to facilitate young people's contact with workers' organisations will also be discussed. In addition to presentations on European inclusion policy, on the academic and trade union perspective on the issue, the organiser is also keen to conduct practice-related thematic visits to inclusion projects.
