European Pillar of Social Rights: Health and safety at work in the new digital era

This seminar addresses workplace health and safety challenges arising from rapid digital transformation. It aims to equip stakeholders with knowledge and tools to create safer and healthier digital workplaces while promoting collaboration and sharing best practices. The seminar also supports the EU-OSHA campaign on safe and healthy work in the digital age and aligns with EU strategies to ensure that technological advancements improve working conditions.

The seminar program will include expert presentations, panel discussions with representatives from governments, employers, and workers’ organizations, as well as national case studies and good practices shared by trade union leaders. Key topics include regulatory frameworks, risk assessment, well-being of workers, legal compliance, safety innovations, and policy development. Participants from across Europe will collaborate to address new risks in digital and remote work environments and exchange ideas for equitable access to training and resources.

The seminar adds value to social dialogue by fostering a deeper understanding of how digital transformation impacts occupational health and safety. It highlights innovative solutions, promotes inclusive discussions, and supports the development of updated regulations and practices. By engaging diverse perspectives, the seminar aims to strengthen collaboration among stakeholders and contribute to safer, more inclusive workplaces across Europe.
