The objective of this seminar is
- to evaluate how the coronavirus pandemic has affected the work of women in a more general sense, and whether their work – in the case of essential jobs – is now more appreciated and valued, following the increase of public awareness about these professions,
- to investigate the current situation of women in the different national labour markets, together with an analysis of the various types of gender-specific discrimination,
- to develop action recommendations for workers’ organisations, so they are able to advocate for more equal opportunity as part of the social dialogue and in society.
