Adult Education for European Social Dialogue in the Digital Age

How to successfully moderate European educational events on social dialogue was the focus of the course entitled "Adult Education for European Social Dialogue in the Digital Age" held by the Nell-Breuning-Haus (NBH) in cooperation with EZA in Arles/France from August 22nd to 24th, 2022. The European Union funded the study. The participants, who are most active in employee training themselves in their organisations, were able to learn various moderation techniques and the associated possibilities and practice them in role plays and group work.

The theoretical basics for the overall planning of European educational events were conveyed, as well as the role of moderators, their qualifications and possible application areas.

The focus here was on the panel discussion, which is often used in European seminars. Questions such as time management in short educational units, moderation of controversial debates, ensuring appropriate and topic-related forums, interaction with the audience and securing results at the end of panel discussions were dealt with in a practice-oriented manner.

In addition, attention was paid to how moderators can deal with unusual/unplanned situations.

All learning content was prepared to be used in analogue, hybrid, and fully digital educational events.
