We are delighted to welcome Katharina to our team as of 1 September 2026! She will be supporting us in particular with our work in Brussels.
Katharina is originally from Austria and now lives in Brussels with her family. Prior to this, she worked for many years as a legal adviser at the Austrian Embassy in The Hague. In this role, she focused on multilateral and legal issues and gained extensive experience in working with international institutions and courts.
Outside her professional life, Katharina was also actively involved in the international legal community: as a founding member and board member of the Women in International Law Network in The Hague, she championed, amongst other things, the exchange and promotion of young female lawyers.
As well as German and English, she speaks Dutch and Italian, and has a basic knowledge of French – making her ideally suited to her new role in Brussels. When she is not dealing with international and European issues, she enjoys spending her free time actively with her family or hiking in the countryside.
