EZA board member Prof. dr. Franjo Topić is the winner of the individual Sixth of April Award in the field of culture

In Sarajevo City Hall, on Saturday, the ceremonial session of the City Council of the City of Sarajevo was held on the occasion of the 6th of April, the Day of the City of Sarajevo, when the Sixth of April award was officially presented to prof. dr. Franjo Topić in the field of culture.

The Sixth of April is the highest and most prestigious decoration given annually by the City of Sarajevo, capital of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Recipients are awarded for their continuous work and achievements in respective fields. Winners were chosen by the Board members of the Sixth of April Award, and among honored, unanimously elected, was one of the most distinguished cultural and academic worker, prof. dr. Franjo Topić, president of the Croatian Cultural Society Napredak, as well as the member of the Board of Directors of the European Centre for Workers' Questions (EZA) and the Honorary president of the Pan-European Union of BiH and member of Presidency of the International Pan-European Union.

During his speech, prof. Topić addressed various issues concerning the social and cultural issues. He also gave thanks to his Faculty of Catholic Theology University of Sarajevo, Croatian cultural association of Napredak with its international and domestic partners. Special thanks went to his family members and the audience.

Ministers and ambassadors of many countries, numerous representatives of public, political and cultural life of Bosnia and Herzegovina, members of the Croatian Cultural Society Napredak, relatives, friends and sympathizers of professor Topić were also present at the event in Sarajevo City Hall.
