Statement on data protection policy

Users can access the home page of the European Centre for Workers’ Questions (EZA) without having to disclose their identity. Personal data are only requested for orders, registrations (if users want to access certain internal areas) or feed-back (if users want to contact us). Any personal data that you may provide will only be processed if you explicitly agree with our terms and conditions and only for the purposes of handling user requests, orders and registrations.

Newsletter

If you want to subscribe to our Newsletter, we will need your email address and a confirmation that you are the owner of this address and that you authorize us to send the Newsletter to you. These data are requested and stored for the sole purpose of providing you with our Newsletter and of documenting your authorization. These data will not be forwarded to any third party. You can cancel your subscription at any time and withdraw the authorization of storing your email address.

Google Analytics

This website uses Google Analytics, a web analysis service of Google Inc. (“Google“). Google Analytics uses so-called cookies, text files which are stored on your computer and which make it possible to conduct an analysis of your IP address and to establish how you are using the website. The information about your movements on our site that is generated by the cookie is normally transmitted to a Google server in the US where it is subsequently stored.

On our website, we have activated an IP-anonymization "gat._anonymizeIp();"  which means that Google will shorten your IP-address within all member states of the European Union and other signatory states of the Agreement on the European Economic Area. Only in exceptional cases will your IP address be transmitted to the US-based Google server in full (to be shortened in situ). Google will use the transmitted information to establish how you have used the website, to compile reports and to provide the operator of the website with further services that are connected with the use of its site and the Internet in general. The IP address that has been communicated by your browser as part of the Google Analytics process will not be compounded with other Google data.

You can configure your browser in such a way that your computer does not save any cookies. It may, however, be possible that such a configuration will prevent you from using all functions of our website. You can also object to any collection and further processing of data by Google Analytics on all websites that you visit by downloading and installing the browser plug-in that is available under the following link: http://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout

More information about general terms and conditions as well as data protection regulations are available under Google Analytics Bedingungen and Google Analytics Datenerhebung.

We would like to draw your attention to the fact that this statement on data protection policy is exclusively valid for the websites of the European Centre for Workers‘ Questions (EZA). We have no way of ensuring or indeed of establishing whether or not other providers follow the same data protection policy.
