Campaign "Healthy Workplaces: Manage dangerous substances"

For the second time, the European Centre for Workers' Questions (EZA) is the official campaign partner of the European Agency for Safety and Health at Work (EU-OSHA). The 2018-2019 campaign focuses on the topic of "Healthy Workplaces: Manage dangerous substances".

More than 100 partners across Europe - workers' and employers' organisations, European and international companies and non-governmental organisations - are involved in the campaign, which aims to raise awareness of the dangers posed by dangerous substances and promote a culture of risk prevention.

The campaign also aims at promoting risk assessment, targeting groups of workers with special needs and higher risks and improving knowledge of the legal framework already in place.

The subject has always had a permanent place in EZA's education programme, whether in individual seminars or in series of seminars. In the publication series "Contributions to social dialogue", the EZA has published the results of previous seminar series on the main topics "Stress - a challenge for health protection at the workplace" and "New challenges in occupational safety and health protection". Representatives of the European Agency for Safety and Health at Work and its national Focal Points are regular speakers at EZA seminars. Seminars in the educational year 2018 will focus on two topics: on one hand, the need for special safety measures in the production processes of mechanical and electrical engineering, and on the other, the requirements for safety precautions in agriculture in the operation of digitally controlled agricultural machines.
