European Social Dialogue, Labour Jurisdiction and Digitalisation - just three keywords that the delegation of the Tunis School of Business and Economics (ESSECT) and its partners in the Königswinter employee centre have dealt with.

The educational trip was created through a partnership with the Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung (KAS) and is carried out in cooperation with the Friedrich Ebert Foundation (FES) and the European Centre for Workers' Questions (EZA). The project was funded by the Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ).

The cooperation should provide students and teachers with learning content on social partnership and conflict mediation in companies in the sense of subsidiarity. Another goal is the development of a guideline. "For us, this is a great opportunity to get to know the Social Dialogue here in Germany," said Ghayda Thabet from the country office of the Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung in Tunis, "that also applies to the European dimension."

Lecture topics included a presentation of EZA's educational programme by Secretary-General Sigrid Schraml. Thereafter, Karl Schwiewerling, chair of the Christian Social Policy Foundation, discussed the structures, actors and processes of social partnership in Germany.

On the second day of the seminar, former Member of the European Parliament Claude Rolin outlined the historical development of the European Union's social dialogue and gave an outlook on the future. Other key topics included a presentation of the dual training system in Germany, the labour courts and the digitization of work.

Following the two days of the seminar in Königswinter, the delegation continued its journey with a company visit and a technical discussion in the Ministry of Labour, Health and Social Affairs of the state of North Rhine-Westphalia, as well as meetings with relevant stakeholders in Berlin.
